Pittarás Chees Workshop

Nikola Pittaras creamery and livestock unit sit about 1 km from Melanes, Naxos, with a modern ~400 m² cheese dairy and family-grown feed for its animals. Livestock farming began in 1970; cheese-making from May 2008 (full milk use from April 2009). Today it processes over 3,000 tons of milk a year into at least 250 tons of cheese, plus meat, as the largest livestock unit in the Aegean per the own site.
