Mount Zeus (Zas) is the highest peak in the Cyclades, rising to 1,004 metres above sea level in the centre of Naxos. According to Greek mythology, the mountain is where the god Zeus spent his childhood. The summit can be reached via well-marked hiking trails from either the village of Filoti or the spring at Aria, with panoramic views across the Cycladic islands from the top.
