Panagia Pantanassa, with its blue dome, stands on Kastro square. Built in 1787 and first dedicated to the Holy Cross, it holds a gilded Baroque iconostasis of the Cretan School.
The icon of the Virgin is covered in votive offerings. The church keeps its feast on the first Sunday of Lent, and the square is the usual Kastro sunset stop.
