Aeolia is a speed-boat day trip from Koufonisi port on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 10:30 to 18:00, with room for up to 35 people. The route stops at Kastelloi on Kato Koufonisi, Feidou on Schinoussa, Alimia (Shipwreck beach) on Iraklia, then Tsigouri on Schinoussa.

From the lantza stop at Panagia, the chapel sits by the landing. Walk about 1,300 m to Kastelli, a small beach only 200 m from Pano Koufonisi. The other way is about 2.5 km to Nero, through the old village, Laki, Detis and the hill Alonistria. Boats leave Nero every two hours for Venetsanos or back to Pano. Bring water, a hat and closed shoes.

Mavros G. Boat Tours is a boat-tour operator at the harbour of Koufonisi. It organises trips to the beaches of Pano and Kato Koufonisi and nearby uninhabited islands. Sunset boat trips are available, and visitors can find the operator at the blue kiosk.

Prassinos Boat Tours is the Prasinos family’s water-taxi service on Koufonisia, begun when Captain Kostas Prasinos put a wooden caique to work in 1973; from May through September their lances take visitors to beaches of Pano and Kato Koufonisi about hourly from 10:00 on a day ticket.
